Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly agreed to appear in a fly-on-the-wall reality series for Netflix.

The royal couple signed a deal with the streaming giant earlier this month to produce documentaries, films and children’s programmes, and it is now being claimed they will feature in their own show.

The docuseries will be shot across three months and will showcase their charitable activities, according to a report by The Sun.

‘It will all be very tasteful, and not Katie Price and Peter Andre-style reality TV, but they want to give people a glimpse into their lives and see all the charity work they do,’ a source said.

‘They will be followed for three months but it is not yet known if cameras will be allowed into their £11.5million, nine-bedroom home in Montecito.’

The insider continued: ‘Much of the docuseries will be about their philanthropy rather than what they get up to behind closed doors.’

‘But it will still be a fascinating insight and Meghan hopes viewers will get to see the real her.’

Harry and Meghan addressed their Netflix deal at the beginning of the month, saying: ‘Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.

‘As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.’

They said that Netflix’s ‘unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action’.

Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s co-chief executive, told the New York Times in a statement: ‘We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.’

It comes six months after the couple stepped back from royal duties, resettling in LA from where they will launch their new Hollywood career.
