Coronavirus cases are still rising in 18 areas across England, which will be placed in tiers two and three when the national lockdown ends.
It is good news on the whole, as 297 out of 315 areas across the country have recorded a fall in cases according to statistics from Public Health England.
Meanwhile, Health Secretary Matt Hancock warned that people without coronavirus symptoms – known as asymptomatic – were a ‘silent danger’.
He said that they made up around 1 in 3 people with coronavirus and urged everyone to take a test if they were offered one.
The news comes as another 205 people died with Covid-19 in the UK yesterday.
