With Christmas 2020 most likely looking a lot different for people in the UK, some families and friends have been used to spending the holidays apart.
If you’re used to working out different time zones to wish a friend, sibling or child a Merry Christmas in Australia, or send a Happy Holidays card to family in America, you’ll still need to keep on top of the last posting dates for this year.
Despite the Covid pandemic throwing many things out of balance, the Royal Mail announced they were hiring 33,000 temporary staff to keep services running this Christmas.
When are Royal Mail’s last posting dates for Australia, Canada and the US?

If you’re posting International Economy, the last dates for guaranteed delivery by Christmas are:
- Monday, October 5 – Australia
- Monday, November 2 – Australia and Canada
If you’re posting International Standard or International tracking and signature services, the last dates are:
- Friday, December 4 – Australia

- Saturday, December 12 – the USA
On their website, the Royal Mail advises customers to try to get ahead of the deadlines as, despite best efforts, some of their services may be disrupted by the Covid pandemic.
