A three-day August bank holiday can only mean one thing – whatever you want it to mean!
With a work-free extra day for many of us, we can catch up on sleep, enjoy some sun (hopefully), pop to the supermarket, do some DIY, or head to the shops to enjoy a much-needed retail therapy session.
If the latter is your ideal bank holiday Monday plan, then you’ll need to double check the shop’s opening times before you head out.
Here, find out when London’s two massive Westfield shopping centres are open for business over the bank holiday.
When is Westfield Stratford City open over the bank holiday?
If you’re closer to East London than west, then your Westfield of choice will be Westfield Stratford City.
Stop off the Central Line at Stratford, and you’re just a short walk away from retail bliss, two large food courts and a Vue cinema.
Typically, Stratford Westfield is open on its usual times during the bank holiday.
Those are: 9am to 9pm on Saturdays, 12pm to 6pm on Sundays, and 10am to 9pm on Mondays.
Individual shop opening times may vary, though, so you’ll have to play that by ear.
When is Westfield White City open over the bank holiday?
Like its counterpart, Westfield White City in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, has permanent opening times.
The key thing to remember is that it opens one hour later on Saturdays that Stratford, at 10am instead of 9am.
The weekend opening times are: 10am to 9pm on Saturdays, 12pm to 6pm on Sundays and 10am to 9pm on Mondays.
Individual shops inside the mall may close earlier on the bank holiday.
