British ambassador arrives in UK on one of final flights from Afghanistan

Sir Laurie Bristow, Britain’s ambassador to Afghanistan, has landed at RAF Brize Norton.

The final flights out of Kabul carrying UK troop and diplomats have touching down in Oxfordshire this morning.

Their return marks the end of a war which began 20 years ago.
