TikTok videos have become a source of entertainment for many since the app launched in 2017.
From viral sensations to handy packed lunch hacks, and game-changing manicure tips, TikTok has become a source of unlikely inspiration.
If you find a video you want to share or a clip that you may want to return to the future, the app does offer a way for you to save your favourite videos and share them on the likes of Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Here’s how you can save videos on TikTok, as well as whether you can find out which users are saving your own TikTok creations…
How to save TikTok videos
TikTok has an in-built option to save videos to any device, be it a Smartphone or a PC.
You don’t even need to have a TikTok account to save videos – all you have to do is install the app and follow these simple steps:
- Once installed, launch the app.
- When you’ve found a video you would like to save, press the arrow icon (‘share to’ button) on the bottom right.
- Tap ‘save video’.
- The video will then be downloaded to your device.
You can also download videos with the use of third-party apps like TikSave and TTDownloader.
These apps allow you to download videos via the video URL straight onto your device without needing to download the app – they are also capable of removing the watermark from your favourite videos.
It should be noted that you can only save a video if the account owner has made their content public.
Can you see who has saved your videos on TikTok?
TikTok does not notify users when someone saves one of their videos.
If you have made your account public, anyone can save or download your videos, as well as take screenshots of your account.
You can make your account private or public via the privacy settings in the app.
