GP surgeries cancel winter flu jabs due to shortage of vaccines

GP surgeries in England are having to cancel winter flu jabs as one of the NHS’s biggest supplier can’t keep up with demand.

Vaccine maker Seqirus has written to surgeries warning them to the possibility of having to rearrange booked appointments.

The firm said: ‘We would like to inform you that due to unforeseen road freight challenges there will be a delay to your scheduled delivery by one to two weeks.’
