A gang of machete-wielding robbers livestreamed their failed attempt to escape the police in a high-speed pursuit.

Effiong Nsa and Salah Ibrahim had just robbed a man in Dartford before their getaway driver Shamil Ibrahim drove them away from the scene, leading officers on a chase.

Unbelievable footage now released by Kent Police shows the trio in the car as Ibrahim can be heard saying ‘help us block off the feds’ while recklessly swerving through traffic, running a number of red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Salah also appealed for viewers to come to their assistance, saying: ‘Need your help – get in your car, come help us block off the feds I beg you.’

The group were being closely followed by several police vehicles before who eventually brought them to a controlled stop on the A2.

They were fleeing a robbery on Knights Manor Way, in which Nsa pulled out a machete on the victim, telling him to give him ‘everything you got’.

The victim attempted to run away but was chased by all three offenders, who grabbed the back of his coat and pulled him to the floor. He then handed over £20 to Salah Ibrahim.

After handing over the cash, the victim returned to his friend’s vehicle but before they could get away Nsa approached the driver and threatened her with the same weapon.

She refused to hand over her keys and phone and the gang ran away towards a silver BMW.

Passers-by witnessed the incident as well as Nsa threatening the friend of the victim, and alerted police.

Their co-offender Sunny Reeve was also arrested elsewhere Dartford on the same afternoon.

They were sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court after pleading guilty to attempted robbery and other offences in relation to the incident in Dartford on September 7.

Nsa committed the robbery while he was on bail charged with a previous robbery, along with co-defendant James Adodo, at Bluewater Shopping Centre on August 29 2020.

Nsa, 19, of Gravesend, admitted two counts of robbery, attempted robbery and possessing an offensive weapon. He was sentenced to four years and two months in prison.

Reeve, 23, of Dartford, admitted one count of robbery, and was sentenced to two years and four months.

Salah Ibrahim, 20, of Gravesend, admitted robbery and was sentenced to two years and eight months.

Shamil Ibrahim, 21, also of Gravesend, admitted dangerous driving and was sentenced to four months, suspended for a year.

He was also ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for 18 months.

Adodo, 21, of Greenhithe, admitted the Bluewater robbery and was sentenced to nine months.

Detective Constable Kelly-Ann Tindall, Kent Police’s investigating officer for the case, said: ‘Countless members of the public were endangered during the pursuit and our officers did an outstanding job to safely bring them to a controlled stop.

‘There cannot be any tolerance towards any individuals who are willing to use violence or show such an extreme disregard for innocent members of the public.

‘From the outset, we took the most robust course of action by remanding them in custody and I am pleased that our investigation has now led to the robbers facing a prison sentence.’
