There have been multiple fatalities in an attack using a bow and arrow in Norway, with others injured.
Police have detained the suspect in the town of Kongsberg.
Police chief Oeyvind Aas said: ‘The man has been apprehended … from the information we now have, this person carried out these actions alone.
‘Several people have been injured and several are dead.’
There has been a major response from emergency services with armed police, helicopters and more than ten ambulances on scene.
Local media said that the man first opened fire in a Coop Extra supermarket.
