A murder investigation has been launched after a man and woman were stabbed to death in a house in north London.
A man, 52, has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the tragedy in Wood Green.
Paramedics and police raced to Mayes Road on Sunday morning after concerns were raised for the welfare of someone inside a property.
The man and woman were found unresponsive shortly after 9.30am. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police said ‘efforts are underway’ to confirm the identities of the victims and locate their families.
A statement added: ‘A 52-year-old man has been arrested at an address in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, on suspicion of murder in connection with this incident. He remains in custody.’
Anyone with information has been urged to come forward.
