A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following disorder after a football match in west London.

Police arrested the man, 26, today – and have appealed for any witnesses to trouble after the match to come forward.

Queens Park Rangers played Luton Town on Friday for a Championship game, winning 2-0.

Following the match, police responded to reports of disorder.

A man from Luton, 52, was found with a serious head injury at around 9.50pm the same day near the Uxbridge Road junction with Devonport Road, less than a ten minute walk from the stadium in White City.

He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics, and remains in a life-threatening condition.
