Former President Donald Trump in a wide-ranging interview with British broadcaster Nigel Farage suggested that he may ‘have no choice’ but to run for president in 2024, and boasted about the crowd size of his supporters in the Capitol riot.

Asked if he would consider ‘going back to hell again’ and jump back into US politics, Trump replied: ‘If you love the country you have no choice – it’s not a question.’

‘I love our country. I brought the country to a level it’s never seen before,’ Trump said in the sit-down interview in Florida broadcast by GB News on Wednesday evening.

Trump added that the coronavirus pandemic struck the US and that ‘I brought it back, came up with vaccines that you’re using, we’re all using, the world is using, saved tens of millions of people throughout the world in less than nine months’.

Farage, the former leader of the UK Independence Party and former leader of the Brexit Party, also asked Trump about his decision to hold a rally early on January 6 before the deadly insurrection.

‘Was it a mistake?’ Farage asked.

‘The real – and I reverse it – the insurrection took place on November 3rd, that was Election Day, and before and after that was to me the insurrection and January 6 was a protest,’ Trump said. ‘But if you were to look at the crowd, the size – nobody wants to talk about it.’

‘I have never spoken in front of a crowd that size,’ Trump continued. ‘And then unfortunately some bad things happened, but also the other side had some other very bad things happen.’

Trump also opined that Prince Harry has been ‘used horribly’ by Meghan Markle.

He said of the Duchess of Sussex: ‘I’m not a fan of hers. I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think some day he will regret it.’

The ex-president called Markle ‘disrespectful’ to the royal family.

‘I think Harry’s been used and been used terribly. I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen,’ Trump said.
