Woman, 96, goes missing from her home in Wales

Police in Wales are appealing to help find a 96-year-old woman who has gone missing from her home in the Brecon Beacons. Rita, whose surname has not been released, was last seen at 10.20am on 26 February, Dyfed-Powys Police said. Officers say she is likely to be traveling

A 96-year-old woman is missing from a town in south Wales.

Rita, has not been seen since leaving her home in the Brecon Beacons at around 10.20am on Saturday, Dyfed-Powys Police said.

The elderly woman, whose surname has not been revealed, is thought to be on foot and wearing a fleece with a leaf design.

A picture has been released of her with short white hair and glasses.

She is from Brecon – a picturesque town which attracts huge numbers of hikers and tourists in the summer.

Officers say they are concerned for her welfare and appealing for anyone who may have information on her whereabouts to contact them.

Those who think they can help are asked to call police on 101, or email 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, quoting reference DP-20220226-221.
