A teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found with serious stab wounds.
Despite efforts by air ambulance crews and paramedics, the 24-year-old victim died at the scene in Crawley, West Sussex, at 9pm on Tuesday night.
At 10.20pm yesterday a 14-year-old girl from Crawley was detained in south London and remains in police custody.
A 21-year-old man was also taken into custody on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Forensics officers were seen scouring the area around Russell Way, searching through bushes and carrying out finger-tip searches.
The incident is not being linked to the discovery of a man’s body found in woodland off nearby Marion Road on Wednesday morning.
This is currently being treated as unexplained and witnesses are being asked to contact police on 101.
