Do Parcelforce and Royal Mail deliver on Christmas eve?

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – especially because the big day is not far away.

As the anticipation builds for presents, TV specials and Christmas bubbles with your nearest and dearest, if you’ve got some last-minute bits and bobs to send out, have you missed the window?

Is there post on Christmas Eve and can you still post out presents to be delivered by Christmas?

Do Royal Mail deliver on Christmas Eve?

Royal Mail will still deliver post as usual on Christmas Eve, as it is not a bank holiday in the UK.

That means if you’re yet to post a Christmas prezzie, the last date to post for guaranteed delivery on Christmas Eve is today, December 22 or if you post it Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Special Delivery Guaranteed by tomorrow, December 23.

The Royal Mail website confirm that Christmas Eve will include ‘Normal deliveries, ‘Eve’ collections’ – meaning that if you post a letter or item in the mailboxes, they’ll be collected and sent out in the evening collection slot.

Collections and deliveries will return to normal on Tuesday, December 29.

Christmas and Boxing Day are bank holidays. There is no post on Sunday, December 27 as there’s never post on Sundays and Monday, December 28 is also a bank holiday.

Do Parcelforce deliver on Christmas Eve?

Parcelforce will also be dropping off Christmas cheer to households across the UK up until Christmas Eve.

Parcels sent for UK delivery using their ‘two day’ services may be posted out by Tuesday, December 22 and next day parcels can be sent as late as Wednesday, December 23.
