Britons will soon have more summer holiday destinations to choose from as seven new countries have been added to England’s green travel list.
Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Romania and Norway will all be moved from the amber list to the quarantine-free category this weekend.
The Government confirmed that the changes will come into effect from 4am on Sunday morning.
This means that holidaymakers returning from these countries will no longer have to quarantine for 10 days upon arrival to England.
However, they will still need to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within three days of departing before the UK, and take another two days after landing.
As expected, the Department for Transport also confirmed that arrivals from France will no longer need to self-isolate if they are fully inoculated.
The seven countries join 29 other destinations already under the green and green ‘watch list’ categories.
Countries under the green ‘watch list’ are those at risk of being downgraded to the amber list at short notice if the risk of travelling to such destinations increases.

- South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands
- St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha

- Antigua and Barbuda
- Barbados
- Bermuda
- British Indian Ocean Territory
- Cayman Islands
- Croatia
- Dominica
- Grenada
- Israel and Jerusalem
- Madeira (mainland Portugal and the Azores are on the amber list)
- Montserrat
- Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno Islands
