A preteen schoolgirl has been arrested after a man was bottled in central London on Halloween night.
Police were called to Leicester Square in Soho at around 9pm on Sunday following reports of a fight.
Upon arriving, officers found a man with head injuries who was treated by paramedics.
A 12-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon.
A spokesperson for Scotland Yard said: ‘We were called at approximately 9pm to a fight in Leicester Square. Most dispersed when officers attended.
‘One man was found with head injuries due to being hit by a bottle. He was treated by paramedics
‘A 12-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon.’
Following the fight, a section 60 order, which allows police to stop and search anyone in a defined area, was put on Leicester Square and Soho.
The order was authorised by Inspector Greenwood and was ‘in response to a fight involving possible weapons,’ police said.
The order was in place from 9.45pm on October 31 until 5am on Monday.
Leicester Square was busy with Halloween revelers on Sunday night and anyone who has any information about the fight is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference CAD 8786/31OCT21.
