A woman has died three days after falling ill at Creamfields music festival.
Fears for the 25-year-old’s health emerged on Friday night at the electronic dance music festival.
She was rushed to Warrington District General Hospital around 10.15pm.
Medics did their best to save her, but she died in the early hours of Tuesday.
There is nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, Cheshire Police has said.
The devastating news has been shared with the woman’s next of kin.
She had travelled from Neath, South Wales, for the event in Daresbury, Warrington.
Superintendent Sarah Heath said: ‘The tragic death of a young woman is heart-breaking and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.’
It comes as it is revealed that 39 arrests were made at the festival for numerous offences.
A total of 71 people were ejected for possession of illegal drugs.
Ms Heath, who led the policing operation, said police had made a ‘conscious effort’ to target drug suppliers.
Around 69,000 people attended Creamfields 2022 between Thursday and Monday.
